Uniform Policy
For Preschool Dance-Ballet, specific dance gear is optional but can make students feel special. Wearing a dance outfit to school on Dance-Ballet days enhances the fun and minimizes changing time, allowing more teaching time. We are phasing out leotards due to young students’ difficulty with independent toileting. Instead, students should wear a vest, leggings, and a skirt or princess/fairy dress. Please pack ballet shoes and socks in a separate bag for the session. If you prefer your child to remove their skirt after class, please instruct them to do so. Princess or Fairy dresses can be worn for the rest of the day.
Dance-Ballet Uniform Policy
- Dance gear with MOVE dance classes is not compulsory, however it does make students feel special to wear something for the activity.
- Wearing a dance outfit to school on Dance-Ballet days will make dancing fun and changing less time- consuming, this will give the dance teacher more time to spend on teaching than changing clothes.
- We are phasing out leotards / close-fitting one-piece garments with attached skirts, reason for this is that students this young struggle to use the toilet on their own.
- Students will arrive on Dance-Ballet days in their vest, leggings, and skirt or princes / fairy dress.
- Please pack a separate bag into your child’s school bag for their ballet shoes and socks (if they have), that they can put on when the session starts and put it away after the session.
- If you as the parent want your child to take off their skirts after the session, you will please have to communicate that to your child to put their skirt in their bag after dance-ballet class.
- Princess or Fairy dresses will remain on for the remainder of the day.
